The armored collar actually saved my ankles a few times already, way more support than my old low-tops. Heel sits a bit higher too, which took a session to get used to but now I barely notice it.

Been skating these for about three weeks and the raised heel actually makes a difference on landings — way less shock through my knees than my old flats. The slimmer profile still gives me good board feel, which I was worried I'd lose.
