The padded laptop sleeve actually fits my 16" with room to spare, which never happens. I've been hauling it on my bike commute and the velcro straps hold my board rock solid, though I do wish the top handle had a bit more padding.

Took this on a weekend trip and the 31.5L swallowed way more than I expected—two days of clothes plus a pair of shoes in the bottom compartment. The velcro straps held my board snug the whole train ride, no rattling at all.

The padded laptop sleeve actually fits my 16" without a fight, which I can't say for my last bag. The velcro skate straps are a nice bonus too even though I mostly use them for a rolled-up jacket. Plenty of separate pockets so my charger doesn't tangle with everything else.
